Scabies is a kind of skin condition which causes the patient to continuously scratch there skin specially at night. However unlike other skin related disorders the culprit is not fungal infection but an eight legged borrowing mite called the Sarcoptes scabiei. Its is this mite that causes intense itching in the areas where the burrows are there.
Scabies is one of the most contagious forms of skin diseases. It can be caused by a close physical contact with a family member, child care, school class or even in a nursing home. Because of the extreme contagious nature of the disease doctors suggest enemas treatment of people like whole families or other forms of contact groups.

When you are first infested by a mite the first thing it does is that it makes a burrow right inside your skin where the female lays its eggs. The eggs hatches within three weeks and after that the new ones move to other places to spread the diseases .dogs and human are all infected by this problem but the species of guilty mices are different. There are different kinds of mices which have different preferences to different sort of host.
Treatment of scabies: The best way to treat scabies is that by using creams that kill the scabies there are several of the counter cream and lotions are available in the market. The treatment involves applying the medicinal cream all over the body from your neck and up to your toe. You then need to keep the medication on your body for a few hours.

1.permethrin(elimite,acticin)
2.crotamiton(eurax)
Once you use the products the mites are killed almost instantly. But still the irritation would be felt for many a days to come.
Also clean all scabies infected places with hot water .if you are not able to do that as some products might be too big than enclose them in a plastic wrap and keep it in an isolated place. |
