Fungal infection is a complication that occurs due to the attack of microbial organism on the human body. Different types of microbial organisms exist in the environment. One of the types of microbial organisms that can attack the human body is the fungus. Complications caused by the fungus on the human body are called fungal infections. There are different types of fungal infections that might occur to a human being and it all depends on the type of fungus that attacks the human body.

Some of the Different types of Fungal Infections are
1. Tinea: Tinea is another form of skin disease caused by fungal infection .what the fungus does is that it messes up with the normal tanning process of the body and as a result some regions in the body are darker than the other. Resulting in the formation of white patches all around the body. These patches are more apparent in the summer months when the difference in the skin color is more apparent. The infection, is normally prevalent in warm, humid temperatures, usually affects the back, chest, neck or upper arms and can cause very mild pain and irritation.

2. Jock Itch: This disease is characterized by red rashes sometimes in the form of rings in different parts of the body. As fungus thrives in wet conditions your arm pits legs etc are more prone to jock itch. The name jock itch which sounds rather odd has been inspired from male athletes who have a very high rate of suffering from this disease. Although this disease causes quite an irritation it is not a very serious one and can be cured by using over the counter drugs and cleaning the infected regions. Maintaining hygienic lifestyle also goes a long way in keeping things clean.

3. Impetigo: It is a kind of skin disorder which is more associated with children than it is with adults. It is normally referred to as rashes as with the cases of babies. It normally occurs on the face near the nose and mouth. It is normally caused by bacteria infections through cuts or insect bites. Impetigo normally starts as a red sore which continuously increases in size and after that quickly ruptures after which it oozes for a few days and then it forms a yellowish-brown crust that looks like honey or brown sugar in appearance.

4. Scabies: Scabies is a kind of skin condition which causes the patient to continuously scratch there skin specially at night. However unlike other skin related disorders the culprit is not fungal infection but an eight legged borrowing mite called the Sarcoptes scabies. Its is this mite that causes intense itching in the areas where the burrows are there. Scabies is one of the most contagious forms of skin diseases. It can be caused by a close physical contact with a family member, child care, and school class or even in a nursing home. Because of the extreme contagious nature of the disease doctors suggest enemas treatment of people like whole families or other forms of contact groups.

Treatment of Fungal Infection: fungal infections are normally not serious complications and do not normally last more than a week or two. Some of the common modes of treatment include a weekly dosage of tropical or oral medications as prescribed by the doctor. However if the infections is not serious enough than over the counter drugs and ointments are enough to get relieve.
